I provide personalized Math support for students in 4th through 8th grade, as well as those taking high school Algebra 1.
In-person sessions take place at the South Branch of the Denton Public Library, where I reserve a private study room to provide a quiet and secure environment for one-on-one instruction.
Yes, I offer both! Whether your child needs help with current assignments or ongoing instruction, I tailor sessions to meet their individual learning needs.
You can request a consultation via email or Facebook Messenger. I’ll follow up to discuss your child’s needs and schedule a session that works for you.
Virtual sessions are held via Zoom. Students will need reliable internet and a device with a camera—preferably a laptop or tablet. Cameras should remain on during lessons to support engagement.
Lessons are interactive and hands-on, often requiring students to drag, drop, or move items on screen. For this reason, cellphones are not recommended. A larger screen with a mouse, trackpad, or touchscreen will give students the best learning experience.
Families will review and sign a contract before sessions begin. This includes details about payment, cancellations, and rescheduling. Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours in advance to receive a refund.
This policy helps ensure that scheduling stays smooth and allows time to offer the spot to another student.
As a certified teacher, I have experience supporting students with IEPs, 504 plans, ADHD, and Dyslexia. I provide accommodations tailored to individual learning needs, including strategies that support executive functioning and confidence in math.
We’ll discuss your child’s goals and supports during our consultation and continue to check in regularly to ensure instruction remains accessible, responsive, and effective.
The rate is $50 per hour, per student. If a session runs over, I charge $25 for each additional 30 minutes to honor time and preparation.
I build strong relationships with my learners and collaborate with them to create personalized success plans. Together, we identify the best learning environment and strategies to help them reach their goals.
My approach builds confidence through encouragement, game-based learning, and a judgment-free zone. I use strategies like chunking (breaking tasks into smaller steps), intentional math vocabulary instruction, and targeted tools to help students close learning gaps and master challenging concepts—all while creating a safe, supportive space to grow.
Positive redirection is always my first approach. If a student’s behavior interferes with learning, I will communicate with parents to create a plan for more successful sessions.
Unsafe behavior or repeated violations of learning expectations—such as keeping the camera off or not engaging during lessons—may result in dismissal and termination of the tutoring contract. Please refer to the parent handbook for full details.
